Gary Hecker is well known in Hollywood, and worldwide as being one of the top,

and “elite” Foley Sound FX Artists in the business.

He has been creating Foley for nearly 4 decades on some of the most iconic and legendary films made.

 He began his career creating sounds for Star Wars “The Empire Strikes Back”.

He now has worked on over 380 Feature films, including The Spider-Man films, (6 of them), Steven Spielberg’s “Back to the Future” and “War of the Worlds”.

He is well known for his work on super hero films, like “Batman VS Superman”, “Man of Steel -Superman”, “Justice League” and most recently “Venom”.

He also has worked with Quentin Tarantino on “Django” and “Hateful Eight” and Tarantino’s latest film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” He has also done many films for Oliver Stone and Zack Snyder.

 His Foley work includes projects for most of the major studios, in addition to Sony Pictures. They bring their projects to his Sony stage specifically for his expertise in creating their Foley Soundtracks.

 Gary has worked and contributed Foley on numerous films that have garnished Academy Award nominations and have won the Oscar for best Sound.

Gary has been nominated 30 times for the Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Award and has won 10 of them for Foley Sound and has also won 2 NAMM Awards for Technical Excellence and Creativity.

 He was voted on the ‘’IT LIST” by Entertainment Weekly as One of Hollywood’s 100 Most Creative People in Entertainment.

 Gary was invited to the White House and presented as the ‘Best Foley Artist in the World’.

 Gary is a Member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, Screen Actors Guild and Motion Picture Sound editors.
